Thailand Garbage Bags: Do You Actually Know What You're Buying?

Garbage bags in Thailand look like a commodity — until you compare two bags labeled "30×40 inch, 120 micron" and find one weighs 30% less than the other. That difference is your cost-per-piece, and it's hidden in the spec sheet most suppliers won't show you.

Here at GPS, we publish our full garbage bag spec sheet — 12 sizes, exact micron, exact pieces-per-kilo. No hidden math.

Why "Pieces-per-Kilo" Matters

This number is what procurement should look at first:

  • Price is per kilo, but consumption is per piece

  • A 30×40 bag at 120 micron yields 11-12 pcs/kg — so 100 kg = ~1,100-1,200 bags

  • If a competitor claims "30×40, 120 micron" but delivers 15 pcs/kg, the bag is thinner than advertised

MOQ & Lead Times

  • Standard sizes (12 above): MOQ 150 kg per size — usually in stock

  • Custom sizes: MOQ 150 kg per size, lead time 7-10 working days

Certifications That Mean Something

  • ISO 9001:2015 — Quality Management System

  • RoHS Compliant — Free from restricted substances (Lead, Mercury, Cadmium, etc.)

  • Micron tested every batch before shipping — true to spec

  • High tensile strength — bag won't tear under heavy waste loads
